All Red Star speech and drama programs (private and groups) involve vocal warm-ups, voice projection work, facial muscle and technical speech work, breathing practise, improvisation, character expression, mime, movement, rehearsal of performances and for older children and adults – sight reading of prose and poetry. Each student is given personal observation and feedback time. For children this will occur with both the child and parents or carers (outside of class time).
Our Red Star Juniors are in the midst of their most passionate years of personal exploration and self-led identity development. With this group we continue to strengthen the Red Star foundations of confidence, empathy, articulate speech, character expression, team communication and we explore in depth the world of plays, poetry and the characters of other worlds. Speech and drama classes for this age group are often an important outlet for self-expression.
